About Amie

Amie has recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Musical Theatre.

She has taught singing at the Jason Theatre School for groups and private tuition, and also at the Pure Rhythm in Saffron Walden.  (Please go to the contact page if you are interested in singing tuition.)

As a solo act, she most often performs at private parties and pubs, but also enjoys singing for other bands too, like the 80's tribute rock band 'Permageddon' and Groove band 'Groove Jet'.  Amie is part of an original songwriting band called Authentic Blue.  They have recently released an EP of 4 songs on which she is featured.  To download the EP or find out more, visit www.authenticblue.co.uk

In recent years, she has played the title role of 'Carmen' in an English adaptation of the Bizet classic Opera, and also turned on the Christmas lights in Leeds as part of AJ O'Neill Productions as a Glee Tribute Act!

Amie has been a performer since graduating from the prestigous dance school - Bird College - in 2005.  Since then she has been dancing, singing and acting all over the UK and on cruise ships as lead singer, in principal roles for shows, pantomimes, singing in the London Show Choir backing American artist 'Our Lady J' at the Soho Theatre London and acting in Shakespeare plays.

Amie has always been a performer, treading the boards early as principal roles: Sarah in 'Guys & Dolls' and Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz'.  This passion has only grown and intensified over time.  From a young age she was a faithful pupil of the same local dance school as Victoria Beckham, Jason Theatre, taking ISTD examinations in ballet, tap, modern and national, and has recently been invited back as a cover singing teacher, choreography guest judge and guest artist in shows.

Music was her favourite subject of her five A levels, allowing her passion for singing and performing shine through.  From such a history, it was quite clear that she would pursue the performing arts as my chosen profession.

Amie gained a 2:1 BA (HONS) in Dance & Theatre Performance at the prestigous Bird College School in Kent, 2005.  Since graduating, Amie has worked in a wide range of entertainment fields; on cruise ships, tours, open air theatres, in Pantomimes, Shakespeare plays, Musical Theatre Shows and Operas.  She has also worked as a background supporting artist for TV series such as Holby City, TV commercials, student films and short films.

Over the last few years Amie has sung as lead singer on P&O Cruises, performed in pantomimes, choreographed the Opera 'Cavalleria Rusticana' for Harrow Arts Centre, sung in workshops for comic writer Tony Hawks in his brand new musical 'Cowboy with Confidence', and sung as a guest entertainer for local companies.

Having sung in several choirs including Madrigal and the London Show Choir, in 2011 Amie jumped at the challenge of becoming the first ever Choir Leader for the Pacific Pearl Cruise Ship.  Having written the harmony lines for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass (SATB), she led rehearsals and conducted all 40 passengers on the main stage singing 'Somebody To Love' by Queen!
